Tokyo: Ikebukuro

I've taken way too long to get it up, but this'll probably be the last of the blogs on Tokyo.

Emilie and I went to Ikebukuro on one day to go to a cat cafe. We ended up going to Nekobukuro, which wasn't a cafe, but still had a lot of cats. You basically pay a small fee to enter, then you have about an hour to play with loads of cats. 8D

Hahaa, I saw loads of people trying to stroke this little guy, but I was the only one tall enough.

There were little areas that visitors couldn't get to like this, for cats that were sleeping or had been fighting.
They were all decorated really cutely.

Pretty sure this is how Hello Kitty would look in real life.

This cat, appropriate named Scar, was just as grumpy as he looks ahaha. So cute.

Cat-related puns on metro station names.

Name stickers!

After Nekobukuro, Emilie had to go and view an apartment, so I stayed in the area to explore a bit. I found a Closet Child and bought a CD or two, then went to Book Off (second hand book/CD shop) and found a couple of Malice Mizer CDs:
I actually thought the one on the left was just a photo book when I bought it, but it turns out it includes a CD (Bara no Seidou), which is now my favourite Malice Mizer album.

I didn't take many photos, but Sunshine City (the area of Ikebukuro we were in) is lovely, and you should definitely go there if you're ever in Tokyo.

Here is Kyary in a KFC window.

After some shopping, I was approached by a hairdresser/make up artist, who asked me to model for him (this actually happened a few times while I was in Tokyo, strangely, but I was always busy). He said he wouldn't need to cut my hair, and I didn't really have anything to do, so I agreed, and we went back to the salon he worked at for a spontaneous mini photo shoot. I'm really glad I have experience with hair modelling, because I honestly only understood about 40% of what he was saying because I didn't have the vocabulary for the situation, and the rest I just had to guess based on experience haha. Turns out these things go pretty much exactly the same in every country though, so it all turned out fine.

After, I went and got super cheap udon :D
I love how fast these places were.

28/07/2012 - Slimelight

Yesterday was a lot of fun! During the day, I met up with some friends to get Korean food, and in the evening I went to Slimelight (goth club) with Dodo and Memz (and later, Vinnie).

I wore this during the day:
I wore my new Diamond Lash (glamorous eye) top lashes (and finally the ear cuff I bought ages ago):

They come from China.

We all had pre-pre-drinks at G-A-Y before Dodo and I headed back to my house for My Immortal/worst fanfiction ever-drinking games.

Before leaving, I changed my lenses to red ones:

I also changed my outfit slightly (horribly unflattering photo because none of us were sober enough to take a good one haha):

Dodo's outfit

Memz' outfit (I lent her horns so she wouldn't be left out haha)

Group photo

I left my phone at home, so didn't take any pictures at Slimelight, but I wish I did, because they have a ball pond now! It was actually really fun, but I have so many ball pond-related injuries now because we were all so violent haha.

I leave you with one of the songs that was played:

26/07/2012 - Picnic

Yesterday some of us had a picnic in St James' Park. I didn't take any pictures, but it was fun! We raced whilst doing Zoidberg walks/runs, and spent much of the day singing/dancing to this haha:

It was ridiculously hot, as it has been for the past few days. I really don't know how to dress for hot weather, but here's what I came up with:
I always have the most awkward poses in outfit shots.
I finally wore my hair horns~

At about 2am, I saw these two cats sitting in the middle of the road, looking at each other. It seemed kind of romantic.  (´∀`)

EOS Fairy violet lens review

About a week ago, I saw that PinkyParadise were having a sale on the EOS Fairy circle lens series. I'd wanted purple lenses for a while, so I decided to give these a try.

As usual, they came with a free animal case. 8D

I was really happy to find that they're very noticeably purple on my eyes! I had purple Geo lenses a while back, but they showed up so dark on my eyes that they pretty much just looked black.

Without flash
With flash
With make up (no flash)

Awkward, passport-esque photo haha

Comfort - These are probably the most comfortable lenses I've ever owned. I could barely feel them at all! EOS seem to be quite good at this; my red EOS lenses are super comfortable too.

Design - They don't blend very well with my eyes, so you can see some of my real eye colour quite clearly when my pupils are constricted, but they're light enough that from a small distance it's not too noticeable. These are the first unnatural coloured circle lenses that have showed up well on my eyes!

Enlargement - At 14.5mm they're not meant to be massive, but they still provide a lot of enlargement!

All in all, I'd definitely recommend these lenses (you should get them now while they're 30% off!).

24/07/2012 - Gets!

Today was ridiculously hot! I went on a spontaneous shopping trip to Oxford Street, and actually found some stuff I like, which is super rare for me.

Dress from Topshop

New Look pleather jacket. It's probably gonna be too hot to wear this for a long time now, but I love it! The photo really doesn't do it justice.

H&M tights. I've wanted tights like these for ages, so I was really happy to find them!

I also got a couple of things in the mail:
EOS Fairy lenses (violet)

I'm accumulating quite a large collection of horn-related accessories.

Quick update - giant KitKat, face-drawing, and an outfit shot

I've reached 10,000 pageviews! Thank you for reading this rubbish~

I'm aaalmost done with the Japan blogs. Since Tuesday, I've been in Workington (super boring town in the North of England) visiting my mother and sisters, who live here. We haven't done an awful lot, but here are a few pictures...

We made what was meant to be a giant peanut butter KitKat:

Pink wafers lol. At least it tasted amazing.

Just because.

And here's a slightly boring outfit shot (finally wearing my Fernopaa skirt):
