08/12/12 - Mädchen in Uniform

On Saturday my dad drove up to Birmingham to bring me and my stuff back to London for the Christmas holiday! 8D In the evening I went to Nachtmahr's album release party at Slimelight with Dodo and Alex.

If you don't know Nachtmahr, listen to this, because you're missing out:

Military style dress was encouraged. I didn't know what to do, so at the last minute I threw together something to try to look like the Nachtmahr girls:
Ha, borrowed my dad's tie.

 I also tried red lips:

Poorly sewn Nachtmahr armband that I made in about ten minutes lol:

With Dodo:

Lol we tried making eggnog, but didn't like it, so Alex had to drink it:

24/11/2012 - Hyper Japan and clubbing

Day 2 of Hyper Japan was probably my favourite! I just cosplayed maid Hatsune Miku again, so I didn't bother taking a photo this time. I arrived at about 3, I think, and spent some time properly looking around, which I hadn't really had time to do the day before.

I bought some MAIFO merchandise:
I don't even like badges, but it was cheap, and I love the little characters that Tsukasa draws haha.

Then I met these two fabulous girls (who, as it turns out, were already friends with Dodo), and we wandered around together until Dodo and Gigi showed up:

At some point, we ran into Zero and Shun, so we finally manned up and talked to them a bit/got pictures. 8D As you would expect from their videos and such, Zero was pretty quiet, but Shun was like "Ah, Hatsune Miku? Cute.", which made me kind of happy.
It was so awkward trying to fit us all in the photo haha. Looking back, it probably would have been better to get someone to take it for me.

Later they had another meet&greet, where I got Zero to sign a cheki I'd bought earlier:

Because I'd seen them around the event so many times by this point, I wasn't so nervous, and managed to say (in super awkward Japanese) that I'm looking forward to their London live (which will apparently happen in February 8D). Shun also addressed me as "Hatsune Miku" again haha.

We had an hour or two to kill before NINJAMAN JAPAN's live, so Dodo, Gigi and I were just sort of wandering around aimlessly/talking to people we know/eating takoyaki. We kept seeing MAIFO taking photo of/with cosplayers, which was sort of cute haha. At one point we were just standing on either side of Dodo, watching her type something on her phone, when OUT OF NOWHERE, Zero suddenly appeared right in front of us, leaning over to look at (or pretend to) Dodo's phone, scaring us all to death. Seeming quite proud of himself, he walked away fairly quickly, whilst we were all just like "...Did that just happen?".

A little later, NINJAMAN JAPAN performed, and they were amazing! I'd never seen a video of them live before, so I was really surprised by just how theatrical it all was. They had a fake fight with some "evil ninjas" at the start (and about half way through the show). By fight, I mean full-on dramatic, cartoon-esque martial arts, and not just a fist fight. After the band won the fight, they posed/danced a bit, then played their music (which was very good live).
It was hard to get good pictures because they were just so fast, but here are a few anyway:

Pinky is so tiny! C:

The live finished shortly before the event's closing time, so we were just hanging around and trying to gather up people who were coming to mine before Japan Underground. A photographer took me over to a blank wall to get some photos, and then other people kept joining in, as is typical in these sorts of events haha, so I was stuck there for a little while. During this, Dodo started yelling at me, and I ignored her at first, thinking she was just trying to make me laugh, but when I did look over, I realised that Shun had appeared between the photographers and was taking a photo of me ahaha. He hurried off pretty quickly when he realised we'd noticed, though.

After we'd gathered everyone up, we headed back to my house to drink/so I could get changed before Japan Underground.

As usual, Japan Underground was a lot of fun. We missed the first band(s?), but the last one was very good.  Not satisfied with the early closing time of about 12, we gathered up some people to go to Slimelight. Slimelight's music wasn't as good as normal, but the ball pond was back! We just sort of laid in it like a hot tub for about half an hour at the start, then danced until about 5am before stumbling back to mine.

15/09/2012 - Karaoke and clubbing

Yesterday was so busy, but so much fun!

Outfit shot:

The only thing I'd actually planned to do that day was karaoke with some friends, which was a lot of fun. Because I can't sing, I had to drink a lot first haha, and even after that I was mostly just moral support/backup dancer lol. All (10ish) of us did Gangnam Style together, and it was beautiful. Turns out none of us really know the lyrics though lol, and they were in Korean on the screen (which I and one other girl could read, but nowhere near fast enough lol).

Because it's my last weekend in London before I go back to Birmingham for university (on Wednesday), I really wanted to go clubbing, and texted a couple of people. Alex wanted to go, but was already at some J-pop club, but said he'd go after. The J-pop thing was actually quite near my house, so I decided to go to that.

Found my shoe twin!

We stayed for a few hours, then headed off to Slimelight at about 1am, stopping briefly at my house for more alcohol. I think we stayed at Slimelight until about 6am, then went to McDonald's, where I had two breakfasts (which I feel really bad about haha), because I'm never awake early enough for breakfast there, and wanted to try everything.

I leave you with a song from a band I really like lately (GANGLION). It's an all-female visual kei band, and the vocalist is the gorgeous Kera model Oni.

28/07/2012 - Slimelight

Yesterday was a lot of fun! During the day, I met up with some friends to get Korean food, and in the evening I went to Slimelight (goth club) with Dodo and Memz (and later, Vinnie).

I wore this during the day:
I wore my new Diamond Lash (glamorous eye) top lashes (and finally the ear cuff I bought ages ago):

They come from China.

We all had pre-pre-drinks at G-A-Y before Dodo and I headed back to my house for My Immortal/worst fanfiction ever-drinking games.

Before leaving, I changed my lenses to red ones:

I also changed my outfit slightly (horribly unflattering photo because none of us were sober enough to take a good one haha):

Dodo's outfit

Memz' outfit (I lent her horns so she wouldn't be left out haha)

Group photo

I left my phone at home, so didn't take any pictures at Slimelight, but I wish I did, because they have a ball pond now! It was actually really fun, but I have so many ball pond-related injuries now because we were all so violent haha.

I leave you with one of the songs that was played:

02/06/2012 - International Lolita Day and Slimelight

Saturday was International Lolita Day. There was a meet that involved going to some kind of exhibition. I was tired and missed that part, but I still wanted to celebrate the day haha, so I met up with people after. It's been a while since I've worn lolita, and even longer since I've been to a meet, so it was really nice. Here's what I wore:
And I finally wore my headband from Necrosarium:

Dodo had also missed the exhibition, so we met up and bummed around Piccadilly Circus together whilst waiting for the others.

We noticed a NeoPrint machine (something I haven't used since I was about 7), and decided to use it for laughs.

We pretended to be in the 90's haha.

We finally met up with the others, and after failing to find somewhere to have cocktails, we settled for a pub instead.
Pimm's 8D

I'd been wanting to go to Slimelight (a goth club) for a while, and as there was some kind of special night happening there apparently, I convinced Memz and DeMc to go with me. Conveniently, I live about 5 minutes away from the club, so after the meet, we headed back to my house for pre-drinks.

First, though, Memz and I had to change, as we weren't sure whether or not we'd get in with what we were wearing (and clubbing in lolita is not so fun). I was lazy and pretty much repeated what I wore to see SCREW, but I had fun dressing up Memz, who doesn't usually wear anything that isn't related to lolita.
Before
After (I had too much fun with the sparkle brush, shh)

A lot of Nachtmahr, vodka and mead (I don't know why this was in my house lol) later, we were ready to go!

I'd only been to Slimelight once before, to see Nachtmahr, but we didn't stick around after that, so I'd never properly experienced it before. All I can say is that it's amazing, and now my favourite club. Lots of smoke, cages, and glorious industrial music. And a barbecue! There was also a crucifix:
The lighting makes this picture really scary somehow haha.

I'd heard that it's usually pretty dead in there, but there was some kind of  event going on, so it was really busy, and we met lots of lovely people. I got to practise French and Italian on native speakers, and I actually ran into the only cybergoth I'm following on Tumblr (I seem to be meeting a lot of people from Tumblr lately). Nearer the end of the night, we met some lovely gay guys, at least one of whom was into J-rock, so we hung out with them for the rest of the night, then all went back to mine for pizza at about 5am. They headed off at about 7am, and the rest of us collapsed into our respective beds, sleeping patterns thoroughly destroyed.
