I have a home!

In my last post I mentioned being homeless, but earlier that day before that I'd gone to visit an apartment. The next day I received a call from the lady who lives there telling me that I could have the room if I still wanted it, and I moved in about 2 hours later! So now I'm living in this adorably French (there's actually an easel lol) apartment in the 13th arrondissement, which is exactly where I wanted it to be. I'm living with a lovely French lady whose daughter has now moved out, which is why she wanted to rent the room to a student. Until I can go back to London and get my stuff, I only have one suitcase of clothes haha, but I'm incredibly happy to have a home now (and I guess I can buy new clothes!).

My room is way bigger than anything I'd ever hoped for!

The only problem with it is that it's about 40 minutes by metro to my university (which is actually in the suburbs), but I don't mind that. I was originally looking at living near university, but I visited one house there and it was pretty expensive, especially for an area where there is n o t h i n g. I was actually about to give up and live there because I wasn't having any luck with finding anything in Paris, but I'm so glad I was stubborn and didn't, because now I live here and... ugh, I love it so much, and the location is great too, so I think it's worth having to commute to university.

Bisous~

  1. Wow, the apartment is so quaint and lovely. The first picture you shown looks like something out of a magazine! I'm glad that you got something that was not only charming, but also conveniently available for you.
