12/04/2012-13/04/2012 - EASTER: THE FINAL

For those who don't know, EASTER: THE FINAL was a sleepover I had at my (dad's) house with Dom, Dodo and Jaz. Our main objectives were to make Easter-themed food and to drink lots. We'd also planned to wear Easter-themed costumes, but ended up just wearing bunny/bear ears because we are lazy.

Wore this skirt because it came with an apron that I'd never worn before. Seemed fitting as we were cooking.

First, we went to Chin Chin Labs for ice cream. The flavour of the week was apple pie. 8D

Baileys in a Fimbles "shot glass" (egg cup lol).

First, we made Muffin Bread.

Muffin batter with raspberries.

The result! It's basically muffins, but in bread form. Dom invented this.

Baileys milkshakes.

Then, for lunch, we made the best sandwiches ever created:
First, make a normal peanut butter and Nutella sandwich.

Egg it up.

Then fry it.

Beautiful.

Dodo used jam instead of Nutella.

And Dom decided he needed ketchup with his.

We made cornflake nests (with Special K haha) to stick with the Easter theme. This used up more ingredients than it should have because we kept eating them before they could be mixed together.

Then we sprayed them (and our faces) with edible glitter.

We eventually got changed into pyjamas and went to the living room to play Ring of Fire and watch movies.
The legs at the top are the only photographic evidence of Jaz (who does not like cameras) being there.

Dom being classy and drinking vodka and orange juice out of a jug.

I leave you with this beautiful photo Dodo left on my camera.

The Adventures of Eggward the Egg

This is Eggward.

Escaped to the jungle!

Oh no, a mummy!

Oh no, bad guys killed Santa and took his sleigh!

And I am stuck in prison. :C

Inexplicable jailbreak, yay! Eggward uses spear throw!

It's super effective!

Well, the day has been saved. Time to go home.

Oh no! Drive! Drive!

Home at last. C:

But I can't sleep. :C

What the-?!

The skeleton must have followed me home!

What do I do?! D8

Noooo, I fell over!

I...

I ca-

Yup, he's dead.

Time to relax.

07/04/2012-08/04/2012 - Photo shoot and Easter: Part 2

Yesterday I modelled the designs of a fashion student for her graduate project. There were three fashion students and two other models there (plus photographer, make up artist, other helpers etc.). The student I was modelling for had interesting designs, and her influences seemed to be Japanese street fashion (up-to-date stuff, too, not the usual old school lolita and ganguro that people usually think of) and dolls, which was pretty cool. I didn't get a picture of the outfits, but this was the make up:
I had a sort of veil covering my face, so the make up had to be really strong to show through.

It was fun and there was free food, not much else to say, so moving on...

Merry Easter, guys!

I got an Easter egg from my father. :D

We drove to Benfleet, where my grandmother lives, and went to the cinema with her. We saw Mirror Mirror, which was entertaining enough, but I probably wouldn't watch it again.

This car reminded me of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu haha.

To make this entry slightly more substantial, here is a meal I made with Konnyaku noodles:
Chilli Men sauce, chicken, peppers and carrots. It tasted really good, and was only about 200 calories!

30/03/2012-01/04/2012 - Birmingham MCM Expo

On Friday afternoon I got the train to Dom and Alex's house in Woking to make for an easier start the next day, when we would be up before the crack of dawn to drive to Birmingham to set up the stall at the MCM Expo.

We spent most of the afternoon watching TV and eating pizza, then attempted to go to sleep at about 10pm, as we had to get up at 3am. I probably didn't get to sleep until about 1am, but I run fairly well without much sleep, and after some green tea and leftover pizza, I felt fine. We got ready and were out of the house by about 4.30am.

I wore a maid outfit, and bunny ears because it was almost Easter and I don't really like the headdress that came with the outfit haha.

Dom, who recently passed his driving test, rented a van to take all the stock up with us. It was one of the vans that have 3 seats, and I got the middle one. :D It kinda felt like I was the one driving. We stopped about half way for Starbucks, then arrived at the Expo for 7am.

After unloading all the boxes (read: watching Dom and Alex unload all the boxes while I "guarded the van"), we had about an hour to set up the stall. That didn't take too long, so we had some time to start eating the ridiculous amount of cakes that Dom had bought.

Business was pretty slow, unfortunately. There wasn't a huge amount of people, and most of them were there for the Memorabilia part of the event, although we did manage to introduce a few of them to the world of manga! Despite the unusual lack of sales, I still had a lot of fun meeting new people and stuffing my face with cake. When Expo finished, we got some food from Subway, then took the van to the hotel. After finally finding our room (it took a while!) at about 7ish, we fell asleep within a couple of hours.

Sunday was pretty much the same, except I wore my old Meiko cosplay. I didn't take any pictures of the outfit alone, so here's me behind Dom "Faith Hilling".

At the end of the day we loaded up the van, and drove back to Dom and Alex's house, where I stayed for a few days.

29/03/2012 - Photo shoot and a few gets

Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I've been with Dom for the past 5 days or so! This'll just be a quick entry before I write about Expo/staying with Dom.

So, Thursday was nice weather again. Too bad that didn't last long.

I wore the KTZ dress as a dress this time.

In the morning I went to the post office to pick up a missed delivery. It was these tights I bought like a month ago from Ebay haha. I was a bit wary because of the blatantly stolen stock photos, but they look exactly the same irl, so it turned out fine.

After, I had the rest of that photo shoot I was talking about before, this time with the whole collection of jewellery haha. Not much to say about that, as it was the same concept as last time. But this time there was a nearby family with a massive dog that looked like a gorilla. 8D It kept coming over to distract me.

Anyway, after that I decided I needed new shoes, so got the tube to Oxford Street. Didn't find any, but got some giant sunglasses instead because the sun was blinding me a bit. I like big sunglasses because you can't see my face. 8)
