Last weekend I did a hair shoot. It's been a super long time since I've done a photo shoot because I don't know anyone in the industry in Paris, and the site I use to find jobs in England (Model Mayhem) isn't really used in France. It was a long day (about 10 hours), but it was relaxed and I really enjoyed it. There were about 7 other models, 2 teams of hair stylists, and only one photographer, so a lot of the day was spent just waiting for our turns and eating free food haha.

My hair looks a lot shorter, but they only trimmed my bangs! The rest is just pinned back. It was really fun watching the stylists completely transform my hair without even cutting it.
I had two photo shoots yesterday! It was exhausting, but I really enjoyed them both. (・ω・)
The first one was with Alessandra Scala, a photographer I've been meaning to shoot with for ages. I was glad to be able to do it before I leave Birmingham (in about two weeks) until after my year abroad!
Alessandra already sent me some previews!
The second shoot was for Belinda Leung, a fashion designer who makes amazing clothes! I only got a picture of one of them, but here it is:
Today I just want to show a couple of photos from a shoot I did back in January. I was going to wait until I'd seen them all, but I have no idea when that will be, so yeah~
Despite being the coldest I'd ever been in my life, I still enjoyed the shoot, and the first picture is probably my favourite photo of me, so I think it was worth enduring a little unbearable cold~
Sorry, I've been just terrible at updating lately!
One day last week I had to go back to Birmingham again, this time for a video shoot. I can't tell you an awful lot because to be honest, I don't really know what it's going to be like aha. It was all very strange and experimental, and I think the clothing brand just sent some clothes to the camera man for me to wear, gave him a budget, and told him to do whatever he wanted. The shoot took place in some abandoned changing rooms/bath cubicles at a public swimming pool. It was pretty cool~

For a lot of the time I just had to be carried around by the other model haha. I don't know why they took polaroid photos.
I much prefer photo shoots over video (I'm even more awkward when you can see me moving), but it was an interesting experience (and I needed the money lol).
On Saturday I had to go back to Birmingham for the day for a photo shoot.
I wore my new leggings from H&M on the way~
The shoot was for an interesting hat brand (this particular collection featured Lego figurines on the hats), with the shoot taking inspiration from Harajuku and Shibuya fashion. It was a very long day (almost 12 hours!), but I had fun.
I didn't take many photos because we were using my phone for music (they wanted Kyary-like music to set the mood lol), but there were 4 looks. I wore various wigs and circle lenses. :D
I couldn't get the iPhone camera to do it justice, but the make up they gave me for this look was quite visual kei-esque in real life, and looked really cool on camera.
One of the looks had anime leggings! I kind of wish I could have kept them haha.

Outfit from yesterday:
I honestly have no idea what was going on with this outfit to be honest, but I kind of like it haha
Yesterday I had a last-minute photo shoot with Pipp Matchwick, who was one of the first photographers I ever worked with! The styling was fairly typical of a fashion shoot, but the make up artist gave me fake injuries, which was a lot of fun~
About a month back I did a shoot with Paul Ward for a featurette in Digital SLR magazine. It's been published now, so I can finally post the photos~
The theme given to the photographer by the magazine was 'candles'. The original plan he had didn't quite work out, so on the day he improvised and put together the chandelier-like thing on my head. I was pretty impressed by that! The candles weren't actually lit on me, of course.
A blurry iPhone snap of one of the magazine pages (the second page just shows a bigger version of one of the photos above):
It talks through the process of taking the final photo, and all of these small photos illustrate it.

On an unrelated note, here's a (half) outfit shot from today:
Wanting to make the most of the snow, on Tuesday I dragged the lovely Richie B out to take more photos. It was just the two of us, so I was completely in charge of styling and make up, which made a nice change. C: Don't get me wrong; I love having this stuff done for me, but sometimes it's fun to shoot in my own stuff.)
I used some new lashes (top and bottom) I recently got from Taobao:
It was my first time even trying them on, so it's not perfect, but I quite like them.
I decided to wear something a little warmer than the last snow shoot:
I went for a slightly wintery, classic lolita-inspired look (not sure how well that came out haha).
We shot in a big, amazing park called Cannon Hill. It's actually quite near where I live, but I'd never been there before.
Here are some of my favourite shots:
Song of the day:
This is one of my favourite albums. It always makes me think of snow. C:
