Playing around with make up in the hope that it'd help me decide what to dress as for Halloween:

I decorated my room a little (I'll probably never take it down though haha):
 Sassy, glittery skeleton

Later in the month I decided that my food needed to be spooky too:

I used actual pumpkin to make the rice orange haha

I'm really bad at making food look good, but I love Halloween too much to not try haha

On actual Halloween, I went to Tokyo Decadance in the evening.
I ended up going as some kind of evil fairy, because I found some wings in a toy shop at the last minute haha.

I never actually got a decent photo of the costume, though :<

I did his make up (except the mouth) too. I've never really done someone else's make up before, but it was fun having a different face to work with :D I want to try doing make up for more people in the future~

I'll leave you with a relevant song~

Bartbartbartbart

Although I said I'd try to update more, I just realised that I've barely taken any outfit photos lately. This is mostly because the weather has been incredibly hot in London, and I really don't know how to dress for that because England is always so cold aha. I'll try harder! For now, here's an outfit I wore last week to hang out with my Canadian friend who was visiting London (we actually met in Paris!)~

Eyeball bow hairclips: Kreepsville 666
Bart Simpson dress: Romwe
Garters: Hand-made
BJD tights: Lockshop
Shoes: New Rock
The wonderful Memz sent me the ring and necklace from Japan C:

On this day we saw Tom Felton at a pub; it was so strange! We were sitting outside a cafe, drinking tea and eating scones, then I heard some men who were standing outside the pub next to the cafe start going like "Heeeeey, he's here!". I looked over, and there was Draco Malfoy himself, who already had a beer in his hand ahaha. I really wanted to ask for a photo, but didn't want to bother him (it must happen to him all the time and be really annoying), so I just sort of sat there in silent awe.

At the cafe we were talking about how scones were probably quite easy to make, so when I got home I did a quick search online for recipes, then tried baking some. It was actually really easy!
I used this recipe. If you don't live in the UK and have never eaten scones before, please try making them! It's very easy, and I've heard that scones you can buy outside of the UK aren't so good, so it's probably better to just do it yourself~

Here's a really cool, surreal video that you should watch:

Gingerbread house! ☆

A few days ago I made a gingerbread house! I've actually been really excited to get back to London and make one haha. I've never done anything like this before, so it's kind of terrible lol, but I had fun (and it tastes good)!

I really messed up the roof pieces, so I cheated and used Kit-Kats instead

There was lots of dough left over, so I made gingerbread Dodo, me, and Jaz to live in the house. I also accidentally made one of the burnt ones into Boris Johnson (far left), so he's living with us too. 8)

There was also a dinosaur on the roof for a little while, but he fell off and broke his neck. :'c

Also, here's a recent outfit:

And a JSG short hoodie thing that I received today!
The zippers are stars! So cute~ C:

Song of the day:
I love the costumes in this video!

23/10/2012

This weekend I had to go back to London to be interviewed for a job with Maids of England (which I got!). It sounds like it'll only be once or twice a month, but I'm super excited to start working with them! I'm always prancing around in a maid costume anyway, so I figured I might as well get paid for it haha. I can't wait to try on my new uniform!

This was my interview outfit lol
----------

On Friday I went to Japan Underground.
Outfit shot:

There were a lot less people that I knew there than I'd expected, but that actually turned out for the best, and I had loads of fun!

I missed the first bands because my train was ridiculously delayed (I am so done with London Midland), but I got to see the whole of 33Insanity'sVertebra, who were very good.

Also, I finally met Ellie in person, and we were wearing the same tights!

When JPU finished, Tom, Dayle and I went drinking with 33IV (and possibly other bands, but at this point I was probably too drunk to count lol). After ambling around for a while trying to figure out what bus to take, we piled into taxis and went to Camden to go to the Electric Ballroom.
Yoshihisa (33IV's guitarist), Dayle and I eventually gave up on standing and just sat around drinking Snakebites for the rest of the night whilst I poorly interpreted between Japanese and English for them (and probably made very little sense). Apparently I spoke French and Italian to some randoms too, but I don't remember that at all. I don't even know how, but I always manage to find ALL the foreigners haha.

When the Electric Ballroom closed, we got fast food then went our separate ways. Without even thinking, I walked all the way home (about 45 minutes). I usually walk it during the day, but this time I was ridiculously drunk and wearing litas haha, so that was probably a bad idea. No idea how I didn't fall over. Luckily I survived, but my feet hurt so much the next day!
----------

I also baked a cake for my dad's birthday! It was on Monday, and I obviously had to go back to university. I feel bad that I couldn't spend it with him, but I wanted him to know I care and all </lame>...
The previously-light cake weighed a tonne after I decorated it haha. At first I was like "Is this too many berries?" but then I was like "Nah, he loves berries.". I was just gonna write something on it in icing, but this should taste better (and I have terrible handwriting, so it probably looks a lot better this way, too).

Laser tag, Tron, cooking, haircut

On Friday, Goth Soc. did laser tag! 8D We rented out the whole place so we could play our own music and stuff. Laser tag is so much better when you have this sort of thing playing:

My team lost by far (probably my fault, as I actually got minus points haha), but it was still a lot of fun! 8D

My outfit was a bit boring because I needed something I could run around in easily:
Super awkward photo haha

Afterwards, about half of us decided to go to Eddie's, because Tron (club night playing EBM and such) was on. When we got to the station, the next train wasn't for something like 40 minutes, so some of us went off to find a shop to buy alcohol and start drinking, which made waiting outside for the train a lot more bearable, and by the time we got to Eddie's, I was already quite drunk without having spent much at all. I don't remember an awful lot from that point on, but I do remember being super excited when they played this haha:
--------------

Today I just did some grocery shopping, but here's my outfit:
Inspired by Nana.

I also tried cooking something new, and it turned out really well! It was based off this recipe.

Also, last night I cut my own hair because it was a mess and annoying me. It's not amazing, but I like it better than before, and I've actually paid for worse, so yeah.
It's actually quite a bit shorter, but I straightened it a lot in this picture to make sure things were even. You can probably see the real length better in the outfit shot.

Quick update - giant KitKat, face-drawing, and an outfit shot

I've reached 10,000 pageviews! Thank you for reading this rubbish~

I'm aaalmost done with the Japan blogs. Since Tuesday, I've been in Workington (super boring town in the North of England) visiting my mother and sisters, who live here. We haven't done an awful lot, but here are a few pictures...

We made what was meant to be a giant peanut butter KitKat:

Pink wafers lol. At least it tasted amazing.

Just because.

And here's a slightly boring outfit shot (finally wearing my Fernopaa skirt):

16/06/2012 - Emilie's leaving party

Yesterday was Emilie's leaving party, as she's going to Japan for a year. I'm actually going with her (then coming home about a week later), so I didn't need to say goodbye or anything haha, but it was nice to see everyone.

Here's what I wore:
Quite a simple outfit, but I liked it.

On the way to meet everyone, a young woman opposite me on the tube got out a sketchbook and started drawing me! She didn't say anything, and I thought she was just writing something at first, but then a couple of minutes later I looked over and realised that it was me haha. It was really good too; I wish I'd asked to take a photo of it or something.

I eventually got to Hyde Park, and found the others (as Dom told me I would over the phone, I found the group by seeing Dodo's hair from quite a distance). We had a picnic there for a while, and I ended up eating a disgusting amount of food haha. Eventually it got too windy, so we headed off to Soho for cocktails.

Long Island iced tea

After, we went to do karaoke!
I can't sing at all, but I had fun being an idiot with Dodo to Gackt's Vanilla.

After karaoke, people went to eat. I wasn't hungry, so I headed off to meet my family, who were at a nearby restaurant for my sister's birthday.

I leave you with this fabulous song/video:

Healthy eating and two shoots

Hi guys! It feels like aaaages since I've written an entry, but in reality, it's only been like a week haha. I think I blog too much. In the past week, I've been trying to eat more healthily. I don't think I really had a reason when I started, but my skin is already looking a lot nicer! I've also started running, because I've heard that you deal with hot weather better if you're fit, and as I'm meant to be going to Japan in a little over a week, and I don't usually do so well with heat. I might have left it a bit late, but I guess it's worth a try!
Here's a healthy ice lolly I made:
It's made of greek yoghurt, strawberries and raspberries. So delicious!

I've also been drinking my body weight in green tea every day haha. I think that may also have something to do with my skin looking better.
-------------

Today and yesterday I did photo shoots.
Yesterday's was a lot of fun, despite being freezing cold. The photographer was lovely; after we got out hair and make up done, he bought the whole team (2x models, make up artist, hair stylist) lunch at a Chinese restaurant.
Hair and make up

After that, we all piled into a taxi to go to Hampstead Heath, where we were shooting. It was done in a forest-ish area. We were styled in a floaty, slightly mori-esque way. We had to use own clothes, though. It's completely different to what I normally wear, but this is what I came up with:
I got this top/dress thing in Thailand last summer, but had never worn it. I quite like it though, so I might try and put together a better outfit with it.

I wasn't really expecting much from the shoot (the mood board they sent me was very vague and not particularly exciting), but some of the photos I saw looked amazing, and I had a lot of fun. The photographer only had a vague idea of what he wanted, as he said he prefers to just see what happens, which I think is a good way of doing it. A lot of my individual shots ended up being inspired by Alice in Wonderland, which was pretty cool.
--------------

Today's shoot was good too. It was a very last-minute hair/beauty shoot. It was in a studio, and I ate a lot of grapes. 8) Not sure what else to say about it haha, but it looked like there were some good shots.
They curled one side of my hair:

There were three other models:

That's a wig haha. It was so nice! We did quite a few shots together because we have similar hair/wig.
----------

I leave you with this song:
I was really surprised when the opera-like singing started haha, but I really like it.
