This is Halloween ♫

As Halloween is upon us, I thought I'd make a little post with some of the Halloween costumes and outfits I've done so far this month~

For Dystopiacon, an anime-themed early Halloween party at a goth club in Birmingham.

Playing around with make up in the hope that it'd help me decide what to dress as for Halloween:

I decorated my room a little (I'll probably never take it down though haha):
 Sassy, glittery skeleton

Later in the month I decided that my food needed to be spooky too:

I used actual pumpkin to make the rice orange haha

I'm really bad at making food look good, but I love Halloween too much to not try haha

On actual Halloween, I went to Tokyo Decadance in the evening.
I ended up going as some kind of evil fairy, because I found some wings in a toy shop at the last minute haha.

I never actually got a decent photo of the costume, though :<

I did his make up (except the mouth) too. I've never really done someone else's make up before, but it was fun having a different face to work with :D I want to try doing make up for more people in the future~

I'll leave you with a relevant song~

Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a good New Year! Did anyone do anything interesting? I was working from New Year's Eve until New Year's Day because I needed the money lol, but I still managed to have a lot of fun!

MADD (an excellent café in Soho which I highly recommend) hired three waitresses for their New Year countdown event through Maids of England/Team Kiku. The event was medical themed, so we had to dress as nurses. 8D My nurse dress was stained with fake blood though lol, so I made an eye patch and tried the guro thing:

As it was MADD's event, and not a maid one, apart from taking the occasional polaroid/cheki with customers, we were pretty much just waitresses in costumes. It was only my second time doing any kind of waitressing, and there were a lot more customers than the last event I did, so things were pretty hectic, but several customers told me they had fun and that I did a good job, so that made me happy. c:

All of the nurses together. I was by far the least nurse-ish one. And my hat was weird haha.

As alcohol and snacks were included in the entry price, we just had to carry them around and offer them to people (rather than taking orders). I was the one in charge of alcohol, so I also got to squeeze shots directly into the mouths of customers using big syringes lol. That was fun. I managed to get about 90% of the attendees very drunk. 8)

When I was finished working (about 1am), I went to a bar for a while with some of my friends who were at the event and some of MADD's staff, because it is not acceptable to be as sober as I was on New Year's. We later went back to mine to drink more and watch Rugrats videos.

28/12/2012 - Medical AntiChrist

On Friday, Dodo, Memz, DeMc, Alex and I went to Club AntiChrist. I'd never been there before, but it was a lot of fun! AntiChrist is a goth/fetish club that runs every two months, I believe. Like Torture Garden, they have a very broad dress code, and while extravagant costumes and such (like you would expect to see at Tokyo Decadance) are encouraged, you pretty much just have to look alternative in some way or another to get in.

On this particular occasion, Surgyn (see the video below) were playing, so the theme of the event was 'medical'. It wasn't obligatory, but I love dress themes, so I followed it.

I went for some kind of nurse-demon-zombie hybrid:

...And then threw in some big, red eyes and Kyary-inspired make up for good measure:

Despite the venue being nowhere near my (father's) house, everyone came to mine for pre-drinks anyway.

DeMc and Alex were both mad scientists/doctors without planning it together, aww (NOWKISS):
They had matching goggles, too, but idk where they are in this photo.

DeMc had a cool pirate goblet for some reason, which I had a lot of fun with:

Blurry group photo (taken right before I got hopelessly lost inside my own coat sleeve):

Both the venue and the event were really good. There were lots of different rooms, and they all had very different atmospheres, which made things more interesting. You could also buy curry, which was nice.

 Glowy legs~

And a crucifix, because why not.

The event itself was great too; it finished at 6am (although we only stayed until about 4am), and had various performances going on (musical and otherwise) until about 2am. I didn't know any of the bands but Surgyn, but they were all really good, and they talked to the crowd a lot, which is always nice. I don't remember the (non-live) music very well, but I think it was pretty much what you'd get at any goth club, with slightly different things in the different rooms, of course. Also, the people there were much friendlier than any London club I've been to before (Thailand has been by far the friendliest yet), and I actually ran into several people I know from different places. C:

All in all, a good night, and I strongly recommend the club.

Halloween!

This year's Halloween was the best yet!

I didn't really know what to do costume-wise, so I just did the make up first, then eventually decided I was going to be some kind of clown haha. Make up:

First, Dodo came to mine for pre-drinks.

We tried to play some kind of Grudge drinking game, but got bored and played the Omegle drinking game instead.

My sister made the cookies, but wouldn't eat the "blood" ones because they scared her ahaha. So we got them. 8)

Finally we headed off to the Shoreditch, where our friends' band (Pharaohs from the Grave) were playing/hosting a Halloween party.

We were bag twins!

Capirinha!

The event was a lot of fun! The bands playing were good, lots of people I know were there, and I got nominated for best costume, which I really wasn't expecting! (I didn't win, but it still made me happy haha.) When it finished at about 1am, a load of people came back to my house to watch horror films, because we just weren't ready to let go of Halloween (I'm still not :< ).
