Bartbartbartbart

Although I said I'd try to update more, I just realised that I've barely taken any outfit photos lately. This is mostly because the weather has been incredibly hot in London, and I really don't know how to dress for that because England is always so cold aha. I'll try harder! For now, here's an outfit I wore last week to hang out with my Canadian friend who was visiting London (we actually met in Paris!)~

Eyeball bow hairclips: Kreepsville 666
Bart Simpson dress: Romwe
Garters: Hand-made
BJD tights: Lockshop
Shoes: New Rock
The wonderful Memz sent me the ring and necklace from Japan C:

On this day we saw Tom Felton at a pub; it was so strange! We were sitting outside a cafe, drinking tea and eating scones, then I heard some men who were standing outside the pub next to the cafe start going like "Heeeeey, he's here!". I looked over, and there was Draco Malfoy himself, who already had a beer in his hand ahaha. I really wanted to ask for a photo, but didn't want to bother him (it must happen to him all the time and be really annoying), so I just sort of sat there in silent awe.

At the cafe we were talking about how scones were probably quite easy to make, so when I got home I did a quick search online for recipes, then tried baking some. It was actually really easy!
I used this recipe. If you don't live in the UK and have never eaten scones before, please try making them! It's very easy, and I've heard that scones you can buy outside of the UK aren't so good, so it's probably better to just do it yourself~

Here's a really cool, surreal video that you should watch:

07/07/2013 - DEATHGAZE

Sorry for not updating more, I'm terrible at this lately! orz

On Sunday I went to DEATHGAZE's London live! It was such a fun day~ I only decided to go a few days before, but I'm so glad I did!

If you don't know DEATHGAZE, you should check them out! They're excellent, and I highly recommend them to anyone who likes Lynch. (or Nagoya-kei in general).

It was incredibly hot that day, so I tried to wear something that I wouldn't overheat in too much.

Despite the heat, I headed to the venue (Camden Underworld, which I love!) a few hours early to hang out with people. At J-rock gigs in London there used to be loads of drama amongst the fans, but it seems to have all calmed down a lot, and everyone was really chill and friendly. We sat, ate ice cream, and complained about the weather in true British style; it was really nice haha. Also, there were so many incredibly well-dressed people! I wanted to take photos, but I was too awkward to ask haha.

There was absolutely no shade to hide in, so it was crazy hot, and I was really worried I'd get sunburnt. I guess I wore enough sun block, though, because I was fine in the end. You can see how bright it was by how my legs are glowing in the sunlight aha.
I would have had some weeeeird burn/tan lines haha. (As would Chriss, on the right.)

Photos weren't allowed during the performance, but it was a m a z i n g. I was right at the front on Takaki (lead guitarist)'s side, which is exactly where I wanted to be. DEATHGAZE is one of those bands that sound great in recordings anyway, but so much better in real life. They played amazingly, were very energetic, and interacted with the crowd lots. At some point Ai grabbed the top of my head and just sort of... held it for a couple of seconds. It was strange. He also tried to crowd surf a couple of times, but must have decided we didn't look strong enough, and just leaned out into the crowd instead haha.

I wanted to buy a CD, but they didn't have the one I wanted, so I just bought this tank top~
There was only one size (S) available, so it's a little big on me and quite unflattering (I'm pretty sure it's meant to be fairly tight-fitting), but I still like it a lot. I've been wanting to get more non-plain tank tops, anyway.

Here it is worn in an outfit:

After the live finished, a large group of us headed to the nearby Bar Fifty Five. Despite being long past happy hour, for some reason they were doing 2-for-1 drinks, which was a great excuse to consume even more ice cream, but in the form of cocktails this time.
Seriously, if you like ice cream and alcohol, go here. They have loads of different ice cream-based cocktails.

I'll leave you with my favourite DEATHGAZE song (which can't be embedded gahhh).

Some outfits from June

Because I've been terrible at updating lately, here are some outfits I never posted~

On this day I actually ended up going to Die Antwoord's concert (which was amazing, by the way)! I looked pretty out of place haha, but I didn't realise I was going to go until about 2 hours before, and didn't have time to go home and change first.

Make up/accessories

I love this coffin bag! I modelled for Sai Sai (a shop in Camden that sells stuff like lolita, J-punk and visual kei clothes), and on top of the payment we agreed on, the owner also gave me store credit, which I used to buy this bag! So kind of him~

I finally tried styling this wig that I've had for a while

Amy and AntiChrist

On Thursday, Amy (uni friend) came down to London to stay with me for a few days so we could go to Club AntiChrist (which I explained here, for those that don't know it) on Friday. (@°▽°@)

Amy arrived in the early afternoon on Thursday so we could do ~*~*London things*~*~ haha, because she hasn't spent much time here.

Bubble tea and dessert for lunch lol

After going to Patisserie Valerie for tea and doing some shopping in/around China Town, we bought a load of snacks and went back to mine to watch movies and do face masks because we wanted to have a girly sleepover haha.

When we got back, I found this package that the wonderful Memz had sent me from Japan! (´∀`)

Kigurumis because Amy likes hamsters

On Friday we pretty much just got ice cream, then came back to get ready for AntiChrist. The dress theme for this one was "circus", which I was happy about, because I love circus-themed outfits.

I hadn't actually planned an outfit in advance, so I pretty much made this one up as I went along, and ended up as a sort of... demon-pierrot-marionette thing.

 Make up
Couldn't choose between red and green contacts, so I just wore both haha

DeMc came over for pre-drinks

No photos from inside the club, but it was loads of fun! The music was great, the people were lovely, and there was free cake. C:
